We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Operative to join our team at Lincat! Working as a Production Operative, you will have the opportunity to develop both new and existing skills through the manufacture of a variety of products to support the production of high-quality catering equipment. This is a full-time position, working on the Weekday Night Shift, Monday to Thursday, from 18:00pm to 3:50am.
Key Areas of Responsibility:- Accurately follow engineering drawings, instructions and wiring diagrams.
- Use a variety of tools, machinery and equipment.
- Achieve a skilled level of performance and demonstrate commitment, motivation, and a willingness to be trained in all areas of production.
- Build complete products once fully trained.
- Propose ideas and work with management to make quality and efficiency improvements.
- Production Operatives may be required to work in any of the production areas such as laser, punch press, press brake operation, welding, assembly and stores.
- Work flexibly, providing cover and carrying out any other duties which may be requested.
- Work as part of a team and maintain good working relationships with team members and various internal departments.
- Support the Team Coordinator to ensure that the team meet the required targets and quality standards.
- Assembly, repair or maintenance of mechanical and electronic parts.
- Press Brake Operation Folding.
- CNC machine operation.
- Forklift truck licence (Required for the Cutting/Processing role).
- TIG Welding.
- Reasonable English and Numeracy skills.
- Excellent manual dexterity and the ability to use a variety of tools and equipment.
- Able to sustain the required working pace.
- Hardworking, loyal and flexible attitude.
- Organisational and time management skills and the ability to assess and manage priorities.
- Communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively within a team.
- Understanding of production processes.
- Understanding of Health and Safety and security procedures.
