Where Flexible but preferably based 2-3 days a week at our brand-new Charity HQ at The Patch, Gloucester. Home based working is allowed. This role will require you to occasionally travel to our Linc offices at both Cheltenham General Hospital and Gloucester Royal Hospital.

Hours: 30 hours a week. Hours and days can be flexible to suit you.

Salary: £28,000-£30,000 (this is full time equivalent)

About the role: As the Fundraising Officer you will be essential to our fundraising efforts, which directly fund the vital services we provide. With the support of our Fundraising Manager, you will be leading on our Community Fundraising and event activity across the county as we grow our supporter-led work. You will be at the heart of building relationships with our wonderful fundraising supporters and ensuring that they are engaged and equipped to make a real impact. You will work regularly with our volunteers to ensure that we can offer them a first-class experience at Linc. This is a brand-new role, so although you will feel fully supported by the Fundraising Manager and wider team, the role can be yours to shape; we welcome your skills, experience and ideas. You’ll play a vital role in every aspect of the charity.

Role Responsibilities to include:

  • Organise and manage Community Fundraising activities and events.
  • Provide excellent supporter care by offering resources, ideas and recognition to help maximise income.
  • Build strong relationships within the local community so supporters feel confident to lead their own fundraising initiatives.
  • Liaise with and update the Fundraising Manager regularly to review targets, support needed and new fundraising initiatives.
  • Host and deliver Linc talks for local groups and organisations to help increase presence for the charity.
  • Manage and update databases and CRM to ensure donor details and income are in line with Data Protection.
  • Support with gathering content for community updates, social media and our website.
  • Engage with our two Linc Charity Shops to ensure fundraising initiatives are shared within the community.

Person Specification to include:

  • Enthusiastic and authentic personality with the desire to learn.
  • Great at building relationships and communicating with people at all levels.
  • Able to bring new and exciting ideas to the table to help increase fundraising income.
  • Confident with working within a team but also independently when hosting events and delivering talks.
  • Experience of managing relationships with individuals such as supporters, donors, volunteers and patients.
  • Experience of providing excellent customer care.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of blood cancer patients and their families, volunteers and donors.
  • Proficient in the use of Excel, Outlook and Word with associated IT Skills including the use of spreadsheets and databases.
  • Full driving licence and access to car during working hours.
