At Linamar Light Metals Belfast, we work in partnership with our customers (FORD, STELLANTIS, JAGUAR LAND ROVER and GESTAMP) to develop and manufacture automotive components, specialising in cylinder heads, electric drive housings and structural components.
We now wish to recruit for the following opportunity: Team Manager Maintenance TMMT/26/1. Reporting to the Operational Maintenance Manager and based within a business unit machining electric drive housings for Stellantis, the successful candidate will be required to motivate and drive the Preventative Maintenance and Breakdown teams on a daily basis in order to achieve overall department objectives.
Candidates must have:
- An HND or equivalent in Engineering (mechanical, electrical or manufacturing)
- 2 years experience of working in a maintenance management role in a manufacturing setting
- 2 years experience of managing a team
- Ability to demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of engineering from personal experience gained
- Ability to motivate and lead a team
While not essential, the following would be beneficial:
- Degree or equivalent in Engineering (mechanical, electrical or manufacturing)
- Experience of working with machine tools, manual or CNC
- Experience of maintenance records, preventative maintenance & providing technical support
- Project management experience
- Experience of successfully driving and delivering cost reduction and improvement projects
- Experience of hydraulics, pneumatics and PLCs / controllers
- Able to problem-solve mechanical and electrical faults
