Linamar Light Metals is recognised as an industry leader in the manufacture, machining and assembly of complex cast aluminium components for the automotive industry worldwide. At Linamar Light Metals Belfast, we work in partnership with our customers (FORD, STELLANTIS, JAGUAR LAND ROVER and GESTAMP) to develop and manufacture automotive components, specialising in cylinder heads, electric drive housings and structural components.
The successful candidates will be responsible for planned and breakdown maintenance on production plant and equipment.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Have served either:
- an Electrical apprenticeship in a manufacturing / production setting OR
- an Electrical apprenticeship in any setting plus at least 3 years post apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing / production environment.
- Be prepared to work and train in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
While not essential it would be advantageous that applicants:
- Have a minimum of an NVQ 3 in engineering (or equivalent qualification)
- Can demonstrate experience and proven ability of maintaining plant and equipment in a high volume production environment
- Have working experience of PLCs, controls, robotics, hydraulics & pneumatics.
There are positions on a CONTINENTAL SHIFT PATTERN but applicants must be prepared to be flexible should the business needs require it e.g. prepared to work different shift patterns.
CONTINENTAL SHIFT PATTERN: Fortnightly rotation days/nights: 2 weeks 7AM 7PM, 2 weeks 7PM 7AM WEEK 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday WEEK 2: Wednesday, Thursday
Salary: Commencing £50,388 per annum (inclusive of shift premium) potential to increase to £53,419 per annum
There are also some Dayshift positions available. LLM Belfast employs around 650 people, with over 50% of our workforce having over 10 years service and over 70% of the current management team having been recruited internally.
