Linamar Light Metals is recognised as an industry leader in the manufacture, machining and assembly of complex cast aluminium components for the automotive industry worldwide. Linamar Light Metals is a division of the Linamar Corporation, a worldwide corporation with 70 manufacturing plants, 25 sales offices and 8 development centres headquartered in Canada with an annual turnover of over $10 billion. At Linamar Light Metals Belfast, we work in partnership with our customers (FORD, STELLANTIS, JAGUAR LAND ROVER and GESTAMP) to develop and manufacture automotive components, specialising in cylinder heads, electric drive housings and structural components.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of a small team providing an HR service within a busy manufacturing setting. Responsibilities will be varied and will include managing the administration of HR activities and records and working with the HR team and department managers to apply HR policies and procedures consistently across the plant.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent including English & Maths at grade C or above
- 12 months experience in an administrative role
- Strong IT skills (spreadsheets, databases, extracting reports and maintaining information)
- Good communication & inter-personal skills (verbal & written)
- Effective team working skills
- Approachable
- High levels of integrity
- High levels of accuracy with good attention to detail
- Confidential & discrete
- Self-motivated
- Organisation and time-management skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
While not essential, the following would be advantageous:
- HR admin experience
- Experience of HR information systems
