As an HVAC Engineer, you will be part of our National engineering team, responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a range of commercial and retail sites. You will ensure HVAC systems operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with statutory and client requirements.
What you will be responsible for within your specified area:
- Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on HVAC systems including AHUs, FCUs, VRV/VRF, split systems, and chillers.
- Fault finding, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical and electrical HVAC components.
- Ensure work is completed in line with statutory compliance, SFG20, and company procedures.
- Complete job documentation accurately via CAFM system.
- Identify and report remedial works with clear technical detail.
- Maintain van stock, tools, and plant.
- Participate in call-out rota where applicable.
What we are looking for:
- NVQ Level 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration / HVAC (or equivalent).
- F-Gas Category 1.
- Proven commercial HVAC maintenance experience.
- Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety.
- ACRIB Gold Skills Card (Desirable).
- Understanding of F-Gas compliance and environmental regulations.
- Electrical qualification or knowledge.
- Asbestos awareness (Desirable).
- Experience working under the SFG20 framework for maintenance schedules.
- Experience with larger complex sites, or critical plant systems (e.g. chillers, large AHUs).
- 5 Years Industry Experience in similar position (Preferred).
- Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) or Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) (Preferred).
- Be part of the on-call rota.
