Our client base continues to grow month on month and as a result we are now looking for a number of Mobile Technicians (Fabric Biased) across the UK
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Mobile Technician, you will be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a number of client sites.
The role requires a proactive, safety‑focused individual capable of carrying out a broad range of building maintenance activities while maintaining high standards of workmanship, compliance, and customer service.
- WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Completion of PPM works to schedule in the most proactive and efficient way possible.
- Production of quotes, including correct parts and labour times required to ensure profitability, cost control and client satisfaction.
Responsible for ensuring effective diagnostic of breakdowns and timely repair of equipment.
- Record and document all work carried out and raise appropriate documentation.
- Work in accordance with mandatory, health, safety, compliance and environmental requirements.
- Ensure contractual SLA and KPI’s are met.
- Ensuring all work records are updated as needed via the CAFM system.
- Consistently promote high standards through personal standards.
- Liaise with other departments, suppliers and other service providers.
- Protect the company reputation by ensuring the company is always portrayed in a good light and carrying out any other reasonable duties deemed necessary to ensure the business can fulfil it’s moral, legal duties and obligations.
- Able to communicate efficiently with client, helpdesk and Account management team to any matter arising.
- Ensure equipment, tools, parts and company assets are calibrated, maintained and looked after in an appropriate manner.
- WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks in a proactive, efficient, and safe manner
- Undertake a wide range of general building maintenance works including minor fabric repairs, painting and decorating, small carpentry works, and minor plumbing works
- Log tap temperatures in line with L8 / Legionella compliance requirements
- Complete emergency lighting flick tests as part of statutory PPM compliance
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with company procedures, site standards, and statutory requirements
- Work in line with health, safety, environmental, and compliance obligations
- Support delivery of KPIs and SLAs by working to site maintenance plans
- Record all works accurately using the company CAFM or job management system
- Identify and report remedial works and raise quotations where required
- Liaise with clients, helpdesk, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and assets in a safe and serviceable condition
- Always represent the company professionally at all times
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong written, verbal, and numerical skills
- Competent using Microsoft Office and mobile job management systems
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Broad understanding of general building maintenance duties
- Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team
ESSENTIAL
- Full UK Driving Licence
- City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant trade or building maintenance discipline
- Previous experience within a facilities management or building maintenance environment
- PREFERED
- Basic Health & Safety qualification (e. g. IOSH Working Safely or equivalent)
- NVQ Level 3 in a relevant building services or maintenance discipline
- Legionella Awareness / L8 Training
- Emergency Lighting Testing certification
- Asbestos Awareness
- Working at Height certification
- PASMA or IPAF
- Experience using CAFM systems (e. g. Job Logic, Concept, Maximo)
