A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Engineer to join LiNa Energy,
a disruptive clean-tech battery technology company,
whose ambition is to significantly contribute to achieving global net-zero targets
LiNa Energy has installed a pilot line in Lancaster which will form the basis of an aggressive scale up plan to bring low cost sodium cells to the market as quickly and as cheaply as possible. We are looking for a hands on individual, keen to work in a renewable energy start up through developing meaningful technologies
Responsibilities
- Operate, and further develop, LiNa’s state of the art electrolyte production responsible managing the quality and throughput of the line. This will be a hands-on role continuously refining setting to ensure effective transfer, and improvement, from LiNa’s R&D facility.
- Work with the R&D team to develop ink formulations and refine these formulations for scaled up production
- Carry out, and refine, QC of LiNa’s electrolytes to ensure no faults forward
- Work with the manufacturing and quality team to develop SOPs and process parameters for pilot and future scale up
- Understand and adhere to chemical and laboratory work safety principles, operational efficiency, and delivery.
- Monitor equipment, communicating the need for upgrades, repairs or other operational issues
- Work within the manufacturing team to further scale the process from pilot scale to Mega/Giga scale
Essential Skills and Experience
- 4+ Years Industrial experience in Material production or Material Development
(ideally working with ceramics)
Experience and Skills Preferred (but not essential)
- Experience working on semi-automated production lines
- Experience working in processes require high temperature firing
- BEng or BSc in Process/Chemical Engineering or Physical Chemistry
- Yellow Belt + in Lean Six Sigma
