A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technician to join LiNa Energy, a disruptive clean-tech battery technology company, whose ambition is to significantly contribute to achieving global net-zero targets. LiNa Energy has installed a pilot line in Lancaster which will form the basis of an aggressive scale-up plan to bring low-cost sodium cells to the market as quickly and as cheaply as possible. We are looking for a hands-on individual, keen to work in a renewable energy start-up through developing meaningful technologies.
TECHNICIAN I – ROLE: KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the Manufacturing team to operate LiNa’s state of the art electrolyte line.
- Responsible for managing LiNa’s critical electrolyte processes including: Metal Preparation, Sintering and quality checks.
- Day to day maintenance of process equipment.
- Work with the manufacturing team to implement appropriate operational solutions to improve quality and throughput.
- Production of suspensions for screen printing.
- Contribute to team discussions related to developing operational and research solutions.
- Understand and adhere to chemical and laboratory work safety principles, operational efficiency, and delivery.
TECHNICIAN I – REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 4+ Years Industrial experience in Laboratories or Production.
- The individual will be reactive, hands-on with great attention to detail and communication skills.
- Keen to develop and become a process owner.
TECHNICIAN I – EXPERIENCE DESIRED BUT NON ESSENTIAL
- Experience working with screen printers.
- Degree in a scientific, engineering or manufacturing field.
