This is a part-time post and the salary will be pro-rata to the number of hours worked. This is an exciting opportunity to join West Dunbartonshire's Health and Social Care Partnership's working within our older people day services. The teams within the HSCP are fully integrated and our service benefits from having a multi-disciplinary approach to support and care.
The service focus is ensuring service users are supported and encouraged to maintain their current skills whilst gaining new ones through community and building base resources and by following the principles of a person-centred approach. You will be responsible for promoting individuals' health and well-being, maintaining independence through the collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure maximum outcomes.
The post holder will be responsible for the management of staff and coordinating the safe delivery and development of day services, which is located within West Dunbartonshire. They will also be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of support and care, ensuring the service is managed effectively and efficiently and is operating in accordance with National Care Standards, current legislation and West Dunbartonshire's policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will have a strong sense of professional identity and an ability to work both independently and as part of an integrated team. We are looking to recruit a dynamic, motivated, forward-thinking individual who is looking for a new challenge, has the ability to work within a fast-changing environment and has a vision for change. Substantial experience within a care environment and in a management role would be beneficial, along with a robust knowledge of current relevant legislation. You must possess or be working towards a management and a relevant care qualification.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential.
