West Dunbartonshire Council is committed to delivering high‑quality, customer‑focused services that support our communities. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Housing Support and Resettlement Co‑ordinator to join our Housing Development and Homelessness team.

This role plays a key part in leading an exemplar housing support and resettlement service, ensuring compliance with legislation, and working in partnership to provide holistic support for vulnerable populations, including those arriving through humanitarian routes.

As the Council's Lead Officer for housing support programmes, you will design and implement initiatives for vulnerable groups, monitor budgets, manage staff, and foster partnerships with statutory, voluntary, and external agencies such as Scottish Government, UK Government and support providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing the delivery of housing support and resettlement services in line with Council policies and New Scots strategic principles.
  • Developing comprehensive project plans, planning resources, and participating in multi‑agency working groups.
  • Leading on refugee and asylum seeker programmes, ensuring compliance with Home Office/Scottish Government guidance.
Requirements

This post is a Regulated Role under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020; membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Preferred applicants will become members of the relevant PVG scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check before a formal offer.
