This is a fixed term post until 31/03/2025. The post is term-time; the salary will be pro-rata'd to the hours worked.
The role of a Relief Facilities Assistant is to work from a base location and, as required, support other locations throughout their working week for service continuity within schools and offices in the area. The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of Facilities Management Services within various premises as required. There will be a combination of duties with a flexible day-to-day variable need, including staff supervision, key holding responsibility, cleaning duties, porterage, food handling, and various other duties as detailed in the job profile.
The post holder will require adherence to Food Safety Systems of Work and Health and Safety legislations; previous experience in this line of work would be an advantage. The successful candidate should be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007, and as such, membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
