The post is fixed term until 31/03/2026. Hourly rate £13.06. Vacancies have arisen for Relief Cleaning Operatives within the authority's Clydebank area. Preference of location will be discussed at interview. We have a number of positions within Schools which offers Term Time contracts as well as our Office estate which offers 52 week contracts.
The Post holder will be responsible for the provision of a high quality, responsive cleaning service within the premise. The successful candidate will be required to carry out general cleaning duties ensuring high standards are maintained while adhering to Health and Safety guidelines at all times.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants are, therefore, not statutorily entitled to withhold information about convictions which for other purposes are "spent" under the provisions of the Act. In the event of employment any failure to disclose such convictions could result in dismissal or disciplinary action.
