Product Owner - Risk domain - London hybrid - £65-70k Most PO roles doing the rounds right now are backlog admin dressed up as strategy.

You inherit someone else's mess, keep tickets moving, and never get near the parts that actually shape the product.

This one's the opposite.

You're not maintaining, you're replacing.

You'd own the end to end replacement of a contracts application that the people using it currently can't stand, inside a digital team embedded within a much larger professional services business.

That team's been operating like a startup within the wider firm for five years now, building genuinely modern tools rather than running project admin dressed up as product work.

You'd report directly into the Senior Product Manager who owns the domain, sit alongside two other Product Owners, two designers and two analysts, and own the roadmap and backlog for the product you're replacing.

Right now that means working across three engineering pods of seven people each while the build is in its accelerated MVP phase, alongside a delivery manager and engineering lead who sit across all three.

That scales back to a single 5-7 person pod once you're through the initial build.

The AI tooling here isn't a line in a deck, it's actually used day to day.

Google AI Studio for early prototyping, Claude and Claude Design being piloted with one pod, Notebook LM for filing and querying user research.

Stories are still written and owned by humans, but if you want to work somewhere genuinely experimenting with this rather than just talking about it, this is a real example.

Delivery's moved from Kanban to a more flexible scrum model as the team's scaled.

Not sprint theatre, real weight on finishing what's in flight before pulling in new work.

You'll need at least 3 years as a Product Owner in a cross functional software delivery team, comfortable working in a CI/CD environment, and ideally you've owned a product replacement or migration before rather than just feature work on something already established.

Risk management or financial services background is a bonus, not a requirement. £65,000 - £70,000 Permanent, hybrid, 2 days a week in central London Three stage interview process If you're currently stuck maintaining someone else's roadmap and want to actually own a build, message me.
