My client, a leading DTC e-commerce brand just got huge investment to scale its digital team. You will be joining at the perfect moment - established product, proven revenue, but now with serious capital and a mandate to double the tech team. You will be the first hire in this expansion, working directly alongside the Lead Developer to set standards and build out the department - respect and trust from day one.

Core Stack:

  • Django + Python (this is a Django shop through and through)
  • HTMX for reactive UI without the React overhead
  • Bootstrap → TypeScript migration happening now
  • Vanilla JS where needed
  • AWS for infrastructure
  • Server-side rendering philosophy

What You’ll Actually Build:

  • The Internal Production Platform: Custom-built management system handling the entire production pipeline
  • Managing everything on the operations side from order to delivery
  • Real-time operations with barcode scanning, label printing, DPD integration
  • You’ll be re-architecting parts that started as "quick solutions" into scalable systems

The Challenge: This isn’t greenfield, it’s real-world. Systems built by a small team that now need to scale. If you love practical problem-solving over theoretical perfection, you’ll thrive here.
