ALTA Performance Materials is the global leader in a broad range of general-purpose and high-performance grades of unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resins, gelcoats and low-profile additives for the plastics industry. ALTA Performance Materials are used in several global markets, including building materials, corrosion-resistant fibre reinforced plastic, recreation, transportation, and wind energy.

The business has operations in multiple locations in the US, Europe, Brazil, India, and China. We are currently looking for a Global Consolidation Manager to join our team. This role is a key part of our growing organization and offers the opportunity to make a real impact within a dynamic, collaborative environment.

The position reports to Finance Global Controller and is based in our Global Headquarters in London. The Group Consolidation Manager will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly consolidated accounts, reporting of external annual audited consolidated financial statements, quarterly consolidated financial statements, and reporting to external stakeholders, all in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of Group Financial Statements for audit and filing
  • Preparation of monthly consolidated accounts in accordance with Group accounting policies
  • Providing monthly financial information, including analysis to internal stakeholders
  • Preparation of key investor and lender reports such as quarterly reporting and covenant compliance
  • Key contact for the annual audit of the Group accounts and responsible for the coordination of the audit across the Group
  • Provides support to the financial group in preparing and updating monthly and yearly forecasts of financial results and cash flows
  • Provides support in the annual and long-term strategic plan
  • Reviews and evaluates impact of new and proposed financial reporting standards
  • Ensures compliance with current accounting standards and supports the regional finance teams to ensure compliance

Required Education and Experience:

  • Accounting qualification (ICAEW membership or equivalent)
  • 10+ years of broad experience in accounting and the preparation of Group financial statements in accordance with IFRS
  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS accounting principles
  • Ability to manage staff and influence others in the group as well as across company departments
  • Experience of acquisitions and disposals of business including working/directing advisors during this process
  • Knowledge of the chemicals industry and/or manufacturing processes would be a positive

Technical Competencies:

  • Solid Mathematical and Financial acumen
  • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills
  • SAP experience, a plus
  • HFM and OneStream experience, a plus
