About The Team

You’ll be joining the JD.com team, which values collaboration, ownership, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Joybuy app.
  • Participate in product requirement discussions.
  • Formulate scalable and most suitable technical solutions.
  • Develop according to requirements to ensure quality and delivery timelines.
  • Solve technical challenges in the Android client and optimize product performance.
  • Research and experiment with new technologies to promote the advancement of client-side technology within the team.
  • Work onsite in London.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science or related field.
  • 5+ years of Android development experience.
  • Proficient in Kotlin programming language, familiar with Java, Android development frameworks, and commonly used third-party libraries.
  • Proven track record of large user base apps (e.g. managing app products with over 100+ daily active users).
  • Good programming style, solid foundation in programming and data structures/algorithms; deep understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, with strong design capabilities.
  • Familiar with Android performance optimization and memory optimization techniques, with strong problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Experience in one or more complete Android projects, with core design and development responsibilities in at least one project.
  • Passionate, strong ability to work under pressure, with a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit, good communication skills; keen interest in new technologies, capable of self-learning and rapid learning to continuously improve technical skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in eCommerce Android development.
  • Some cross-platform development experience.
  • Committed to open-source projects.
  • Proficiency in Chinese, German, French, Dutch or other languages is a plus.
