As a Deputy M&E Enquiry Team Manager, you will be tasked to always ensure the smooth and professional running of the M&E enquiry team, in turn increasing conversion and M&E demand to ensure that we gain maximum market share from all customers and gain their loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Enquiry Team Manager in daily tasks
  • Support the management of the day-to-day operation of the enquiry team
  • Train and coach team members
  • Dairy management. Conducting diary checks – double bookings & stacking
  • Handle any book outs as part of the business strategy
  • Audit team members bookings to ensure entry standards are maintained
  • Enquiry team inbox management
  • Process all incoming Meeting & Events enquiries ensuring they are dealt with and processed in line with individual agent and company time frames
  • Produce proposals for all enquiries ensuring there is sufficient detail which is in line with the spec of each event
  • Increase conversion of enquiries by developing client relationships and maximizing sales leads
  • Use the provided demand calendar and pricing structure when quoting for all enquiries
  • Arrange site inspections ensuring the inspections are fulfilled professionally, efficiently and effectively and mirror the requirements of the visiting client
  • Produce, issue and chase the return of contracts for events
  • Ensure Sales & Catering are updated with accurate and relevant information ensuring all revenue is loaded in line with event contract and final detail requirements
  • Identify new sales leads, chase and secure the lead with the guidance of the Sales Manager
  • Produce and check all function sheets for all events ensuring all necessary detail is noted
  • Ensure all rooming list details and requirements are gathered and handed across to Groups Coordinator
  • Ensure the hotels are informed of all upcoming events
  • Postings are completed daily and we have the relevant payment method in place before the client arrives on site
  • Suggest ways to improve demand and conversion of M&E
  • Ensure Leonardo Test call criteria is followed when taking enquiries via telephone; a minimum of one test call per month is made to the office and a minimum score of 85% is acceptable/required
  • Knowledge of competitor set facilities and offering to be up to date
