We\’re actively seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our Technology team to modernise and optimise our back-end . In the role, you will champion good development practices and tackle the most exciting challenges. Limio, a dynamic and rapidly expanding company, values hands-on engagement from our developers. Expect to contribute directly, ship code, and be passionate about creating a meaningful impact working within a close-knit team.
The Role
As our Senior Full-Stack Developer at Limio, you will hold a pivotal position rolling out new back-end functionalities. You will be hands-on with the code and help the team develop strong development practices . You\’ll collaborate closely with other full-stack engineers, offering mentorship to junior team members, and leading the way in resolving intricate back-end challenges that shape our future.
Responsibilities
- Development:
- Design and lead the implementation of new backend frameworks.
- Improve the performance, robustness, reliability, and security of our application.
- Write good public-facing documentation for Limio APIs and SDK.
- Refactor ad-hoc code built over time into reusable, clean, well-documented code.
- Drive adoption of the latest React features, e.g., React server components and server-side rendering.
- Support and collaborate with junior team members.
- Offer constructive feedback during PR (Pull Request) reviews.
- Promote best coding practices within the team, including clean code, testing, and regular releases.
- Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, including Product and Customer Success, to ensure we can meet customer expectations.
- Engage with customers: Interact with customers seeking senior technical guidance, especially during the adoption of new frameworks.
- Assist in implementation: Offer support for complex feature requests as part of our professional services during implementation.
- Contribute to support: At Limio, our commitment to support extends throughout the organisation, with everyone, including the CEO and CTO, actively involved in assisting customers.
The Technology
Our applications use the following technology:
- Back-end: Node, Express, Lambda, Git, ElasticSearch, DynamoDB
- Front-end: ES6, React, Redux, Gatsby
- Testing: Jest, React Testing Library, Mock Service Worker
- APIs: REST
- DevOps: AWS serverless technologies, Terraform, Docker
You should apply if:
- You have 5+ years of full-stack development experience in production environments.
- You have experience with Node.js (or equivalent, such as Next.JS or Nest.Js) in production.
- You have experience with React (or equivalent, such as Angular) .
- You have experience working with AWS (or equivalent cloud platforms) and services such as API Gateway or DynamoDB.
- You have a track record of setting high standards for technical quality and helping teams achieve them.
- You thrive in startup or small team environments and enjoy having a significant impact by being hands-on .
- You possess strong problem-solving skills , leveraging design documents and prototypes to make thoughtful decisions.
- You are an excellent communicator—concise, efficient, and effective at collaborating across cross-functional teams .
Bonus points if:
- You have experience developing a SaaS product .
- You have worked with enterprise customers .
Logistics
Compensation is £70k to £100k depending on your experience. We strongly believe in shared success and you will receive a competitive stock option grant.
We offer flexible working hours, 25-days + bank holidays vacation policy, the latest Macbook equipment, cycle to work benefit, and pension plan.
Our interview process consists of:
- An initial screening interview with a member of the team
- Technical interview
- Culture fit interview
- A final round interview with the CEO/CTO
- A reference to a previous manager (if possible and appropriate)

Our office is usually at London Bridge, a 5-minute walk from London Bridge station. We expect all employees to be in the office at least 2-3 days a week between Tuesday and Thursday.
