We are winning Fortune 500 clients at warp speed while expanding internationally and growing our team. As VP of Finance, you will be the full owner and architect of Conveo’s finance function — owning end‑to‑end responsibility for converting Conveo's finance function into a bulletproof and scalable operation with necessary controls to scale through Series B and beyond. Through this role, you'll be the strategic designer, owner, and guardian of Conveo’s financials, be a core part of our leadership and work with the founders across all divisions, and drive the discussions for every significant call on capital, revenue and expenses, hiring, and growth.

Main Responsibilities Of Your Team

  • Finance function architecture — design and optimise the finance function from 1 to 100 (team, responsibilities, financial systems, internal controls) that will allow Conveo to scale from ~45 today to 150+ people in only the next months
  • Finance team building — Build out the team to professionalise Conveo’s finance team
  • Financial Operations — Design and then manage your finance team to own AP/AR management, VAT, transfer pricing systems
  • Monthly close — Lead the team to structure the closing process of the books with our Big Four partner
  • Financial strategy & planning — Lead scenario analyses, KPI tracking
  • Cash & runway mastery — Give the company and investors real‑time clarity on cash burn, scenario planning, and liquidity management, enabling fast and confident decision‑making
  • Investor & board reporting — Own financial reporting for board and investors, financial due diligence/support in future fundraising, and build financial credibility that unlocks Series B Funding — Help prepare the company for Series B, additional ways of financing
  • Business orchestration — Own hiring plans, ESOP plans, pricing, deal economics, capital allocation

What We’re Looking For

Must‑haves

  • 10+ years of strong experience across financial operations, accounting, audit, or financial control
  • Implemented and optimised financial systems and controls to bring structure and scalability to a startup
  • Accounting, reporting, financial control, compliance, AR/AP management, audit, and ERP systems
  • Owned monthly close with external auditors
  • Model mastery: three‑statement, hiring plan, scenario analysis, and ad‑hoc models
  • Has seen at least 1 ERP implementation/migration
  • Leadership experience, having led a team of financial controllers, accountants at venture companies
  • Experience of accounting and financial control experience at a startup/scaleup, ideally having set up the entire accounting system / ERP and books from scratch
  • Strong SaaS metrics understanding and FP&A experience
  • Fluent in English

  • Familiarity with Belgian and/or UK local reporting/accountancy
  • Part of Series B or C fundraising as financial controller/accountant/financial ops manager
  • Experience with multi‑entity consolidation
  • Managed financial operations for a startup before (accounting, ERP systems, AR/AP management, compliance)
  • Experience with 409A, R&D subsidies, tax administration, transfer pricing
