Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Business Development Manager to join our Wise Platform team in EMEA. In this role, you will help deliver world-class API payment solutions to some of the largest enterprises, fintechs, and digital platforms globally—powered by Wise’s cutting‑edge infrastructure. Wise Platform has successfully launched partnerships worldwide with industry leaders such as Monzo, Spendesk, Qonto, Bolt, Deel, Remote & Morgan Stanley, connecting and powering 80+ global banks and digital platforms through our technology stack. As a senior member of our commercial team in EMEA and the platform partnerships vertical team globally, you will own key opportunities with the largest corporations and financial platforms, drive initiatives to expand Wise Platform’s capabilities and contribute to the growth of Wise’s infrastructure footprint in EMEA. You will collaborate closely with the EMEA Regional team, Global Wise Platform teams, and various functions including product management, compliance and legal, implementation, and engineering.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Wise Platform team to develop, secure, and execute a robust pipeline of enterprise platform partnerships in EMEA, driving product innovation, revenue, and volume growth for Wise.
- Support the digital platforms vertical team strategy both in EMEA and globally.
- Lead market analysis efforts to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential risks, providing insights to support strategic decision‑making.
- Work on initiatives to refine our strategy and approach within the EMEA region and globally. This includes contributing to the evolution of our product roadmap, pricing strategies, go‑to‑market efforts, and other key growth drivers.
- Represent Wise and Wise Platform at industry events and conferences, serving as the spokesperson for our enterprise platform vertical.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in payments, with a strong focus on international payments for major enterprise platforms in EMEA.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful business strategies that drive significant revenue growth.
- In‑depth knowledge of the financial services and regulatory landscape in EMEA, with a clear understanding of how they impact international payments across spend management, workforce platforms, and marketplaces.
- Strong negotiation skills, able to independently secure optimal terms while maintaining a clear product vision and understanding the ideal operational and commercial processes for each new partner.
- Hands‑on approach, comfortable leading discussions and actively supporting the business development team in building a strong pipeline.
