Whether people and businesses are sending money to another country, spending abroad, or making and receiving international payments, Wise is on a mission to make their lives easier and save them money. As part of our team, you will be helping us create an entirely new network for the world's money.
We are looking for a Product Lead to lead our Onboarding experiences at Wise. This role will oversee three of the most important teams in Wise: Consumer Onboarding, Account Setup, and Account Access & Recovery. Your mission is to ensure that every new customer – personal or business – can join Wise easily, securely, and with full clarity on how to get value from our products. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will work across product, engineering, design, analytics, compliance, operations and marketing to dramatically improve conversion, eliminate drop-offs, and build a world-class onboarding experience for all our customers. You will report to the Onboarding & Scalable Growth Director and lead a team of talented PMs across the domain.
Responsibilities
- Drive conversion for new personal customers: ensuring customers get to their first successful transaction quickly and with confidence.
- Eliminate drop-off across flows like signup, KYC, profile creation, and pricing understanding and transaction creation.
- Own the entire login, account recovery, and 2FA experience – one of the most sensitive and high-contact areas in our funnel.
- Improve the UX across onboarding journeys, especially for complex or regulated flows.
- Balance growth with security, compliance, and operational scalability.
Benefits & Opportunities
- Make global impact: Shape how millions of people and businesses experience Wise for the first time — and help them understand the value we offer.
- Drive measurable outcomes: Own core product metrics like conversion rate, onboarding contact ratio, and 2FA cost per user — and be responsible for improving them.
- Own the UX: Have a sharp eye for UX quality and the ability to collaborate deeply with design and research to ship exceptional user journeys.
- Collaborate across the organisation: Partner with compliance, security, operations and marketing to align on shared goals and deliver cohesive experiences.
- Build and lead a high-performing team: Support 3–4 PMs and their teams, helping them prioritise ruthlessly, move quickly, and focus on outcomes.
- Act as a leader: Build and inspire your own team, but also other teams to contribute to our mission.
Qualifications
- You have led onboarding or core conversion experiences in a fast-growing tech company, ideally with regulated or complex flows (e.g. fintech, identity, compliance).
- You have owned end-to-end metrics like conversion or retention and know how to move them.
- You are a UX champion with a strong product sense and attention to detail.
- You have led senior product managers and built strong, high-trust teams.
- You are comfortable working across compliance, legal, ops, regional and marketing and know how to manage competing priorities.
- You are data-driven and outcome-oriented – you know how to define success and keep teams focused on impact.
- You can operate strategically while rolling up your sleeves when needed.
- You communicate clearly and logically – able to effectively frame problems to influence across the team.
- You are comfortable communicating with internal and external partners on challenging issues.
- You are not afraid of being a true lead, helping your team with hiring and learning skills to unblock things everywhere needed.
We believe teams are strongest when they are diverse, equitable and inclusive. We celebrate our differences and ensure every Wiser feels respected and empowered to share their contributions towards our mission. Having diverse teams that reflect our diverse customer base helps us build a better product.
