What You'll Be Doing

  • Create new science‑based solutions that can be captured as science modules and applied across clients.
  • Apply machine‑learning approaches such as regularised regression, clustering, tree‑based ensembles, graph‑based methods, NLP and neural networks to client data.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to characterize and visualize datasets.
  • Expand programming skills in Python and Spark to develop efficient science code.
  • Identify new opportunities within the Data Science space for future solutions.
  • Implement guidance from colleagues to resolve challenges.
  • Follow Quality Assurance processes, coding standards, and best practices.
  • Ensure smooth project delivery, working with senior team members for direction.
  • Build strong relationships within the team and with internal stakeholders to enable clear communication.

What We Expect From You

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Statistics, Applied Statistics, Physics, Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with machine‑learning techniques such as regularised regression, clustering, or tree‑based ensembles, and the ability to implement them through libraries.
  • Proficiency in Python programming and handling large data volumes with modern processing tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, SQL).
  • Experience with, or quick learning ability for, open‑source machine‑learning packages such as Pandas, scikit‑learn, and data visualization tools.
  • Willingness to present work to both technical and non‑technical audiences and contribute to the wider data‑science community.

A Plus If You Also Have

  • PhD in a related field.
  • Experience in the retail sector.
