A card payment first passes through our fraud and authentication engines, determining if it's safe to process. This is managed by the Cards Pay-in Authentication team, the sister team to Orchestration.
Responsibilities
- The Cards Pay-in Orchestration team decides which acquirer a payment should be routed to for maximum chance of being accepted.
- In this role you'll be responsible for the product vision, strategy and roadmap for Orchestration. This requires:
- Defining the multi-year vision for our orchestration infrastructure to move from static rules to dynamic, machine-learning routing - and working with your engineers and analysts to deliver this vision.
- Ensuring our payments are fully optimised to be routed between our acquirers, adjusting for regional / issuer level differences.
- Managing the acquirer portfolio to support the growth of card pay-ins via new markets, card schemes and product types e.g. e-commerce payments.
- Keeping acquirer costs as low as possible for our customers, balancing performance with the cost of acquiring.
