As a Senior Projects Manager you are part of the Customer Delivery Team that delivers commercial projects across customer, including retail, property and passenger service spaces such as parking facilities, surface access and other aeronautical services. Creating commercially revenue generating space is important, but it is also vital that we create spaces to improve passenger experience to help create an extraordinary airport that is fit for the future.
This role will lead and manage the Commercial Projects team, including Project Management, Change Control and Technical Assurance, Commercial Compliance and Commercial Space and Development across all Heathrow Commercial project delivery programme.
Responsibilities- To lead and manage the Commercial Projects 3rd party works, c£70m pa, including client direct minor works projects, c£7m pa, to ensure all Commercial and third-party assets are fully compliant to all building regulations, Heathrow technical standards and Health & Safety standards.
- To establish, implement and own the control and governance structures for Commercial project and assurance activities.
- Lead the development of design information from the project teams, ensuring time accurate S&C packs to allow the Retail Delivery team to progress concept and Detail design briefings in line with Commercial programmes and Business Plan.
- Manage Business Partners and their project teams through the Commercial Projects Processes. This will include: Design briefings and reviews ensuring Business Partner designs are in line with the Design Guidelines.
- Approvals, ensuring compliance with Heathrow Commercial Delivery and Approvals Processes, gaining sign-off from all internal stakeholders and external statutory bodies prior to commencing on site.
- Commissioning and handover, ensuring sign-off from all relevant stakeholders and obtaining completion certificates from Building Control prior to opening.
- Managing the timely delivery of Commercial Shell & Cores ensuring Commercial Shell & Cores are delivered 100% complete and defect free to aligned Project & Commercial programmes by the Solutions team.
- Lead and manage the commercial sustainability requirements, particularly energy, waste and water in their design, build and maintenance of commercial occupiers facilities.
- Experience of airport project delivery or industry comparative experience.
- A working knowledge / experience of mechanical, electrical, building and civil services.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven experience of managing stakeholder relationships at every level.
- Ability to manage, lead and develop a team to deliver business goals and objectives.
- Experience in project delivery, including the design and construction of commercial facilities and products.
- Strong reporting, presentation, and documentation skills.
