Looking for a GIS pro to help us shape our product roadmap. We are looking to hire someone to come in (ideally in person in central London) and walk us through a typical project/workflow and comment on what things typically work and don’t work across customers. There is potential for longer-term collaboration. You can also expect us to reach out for multiple short sessions as we refine our roadmap.
We have a great founding team (big tech, academia, startups), great investors (Sequoia, AVP), and tons of ambition. You can start on a part-time/freelance basis but we are also flexible to discuss full-time opportunities in the future.
What are we building? AI systems that automate a wide variety of tasks for people who do geospatial analysis (maps, satellites, etc.).
Scope of responsibilities:
- Understanding of GIS projects, systems, processes, and tools to run founders through half-day to full-day sessions.
- Ability to put user interview results into GIS context.
- Past experience working with raster is a plus.
- Discuss real-world case studies for your industry (with ArcGIS or QGIS).
- Engage in brainstorming on where our tech could help GIS analysts.
- The ability to know where to start from scratch on projects/questions that some of the team members may not understand.
