The Business Accounting Integrations & Reporting team simplifies financial management for Wise’s business customers by building integrations that enable seamless connections with accounting software.

The role is headquartered across London and Budapest with a distributed team working with other squads.

The roadmap for 2026/27 includes expanding coverage, enhancing reporting, and developing an extensible platform.

  • In This Role You Will
  • Partner with a Product Manager and a cross‑functional team to shape the roadmap, set technical and product vision, and deliver scalable, resilient solutions.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a talented group of engineers—helping them grow, removing blockers, and enabling their best work.
  • Ensure strong execution: clear planning, realistic commitments, and healthy team operations.
  • Stay close to the tech and product—setting high standards for engineering quality and leading by example.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Work with other engineering leads across Wise to align the team with broader technical strategy and long‑term architecture.
  • Own hiring, development, and the long‑term impact of the team.

Qualifications

  • Strong, hands‑on technical experience in OOP languages (Java or similar) and modern tech stacks such as REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience architecting for scale and efficiency, particularly designing integration platforms that streamline onboarding and reduce engineering effort for new accounting software integrations.
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring software engineers, fostering growth and success.
  • A strong product‑ and customer‑mindset with experience building customer‑facing products.
  • Experience building distributed, highly scalable systems and microservice architectures.
  • Excellent communication skills—capable of articulating complex technical concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • A collaborative approach and experience working effectively with cross‑functional peers such as designers, product managers, and analysts.
