We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving impact through analytics, deriving insightful findings, and contributing to potential recommendations. This role requires a strong understanding of coding languages, data visualisation and analytical methodologies.

- Technical Proficiency – Apply SQL/Python skills, understanding of relational databases, and perform quality checks on standardised code.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication – Build strong relationships, set clear expectations, and present insights confidently to stakeholders.

What We Would Like You To Have
- A proactive personality, looking to deliver additional analytical value to our stakeholders, such as improving process efficiencies and experimenting with innovative methods to enhance analytical outputs.
- Experienced user of SQL and ideally Python. Previous experience of BI tools (e.g., Tableau or Microstrategy) and/or AWS / Snowflake would be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, a confident curiosity to explore and understand analytical problems, with evidence of how you share insights with colleagues to achieve actionable results.

About The Team
The Nectar Customer Analytics team is a central hub for data‑driven decision making, supporting the Nectar programme and wider business initiatives through analytical expertise. We work on high‑impact projects that directly influence customer experience, commercial performance, and operational efficiency.
Our key focus areas include:
- Nectar Campaign creation and management – Lead the nectar campaigns (such as Collect for Christmas, Healthy Choices Challenge) from an analytics point of view. From initial forecasting and scoping of costs, to customer selection, comms, tracking and ultimately to review and recommendations as to how to improve the next iteration.
- Data playback and Year in Review – Champion the idea of playing customers' data back to them, including feeding back their nectar savings or healthy choice behaviour. Take the lead in the flagship ‘Year in Review’ campaign where we create a wealth of engaging stats for over 15 million customers.
- Improving Nectar App Engagement – Analysing user behaviour and app usage to uncover opportunities for enhancing digital engagement and customer satisfaction. Support new experimental activity such as new customer onboarding or tests on the display of the app.
- Advanced Reporting & Automation – Building scalable dashboards and automated workflows to streamline reporting and empower stakeholders with real‑time insights.
- Cross‑functional Collaboration – Working closely with teams across the business to solve complex problems and deliver actionable recommendations.
