As a HR Business Partner at Heathrow, you’ll support our Customer and Heathrow Express (HEx) teams as part of our Flight to Extraordinary journey. Working closely with leaders and managers, you’ll deliver pragmatic, hands‑on people support across performance, talent, organisational change and workforce planning.

You’ll partner day‑to‑day with your client groups while helping deliver longer‑term people priorities, building trusted relationships and providing sound judgement in a fast‑paced, complex environment. As part of the wider People Team, you’ll work closely with a Senior HR Business Partner to deliver high‑quality people solutions that help make Heathrow an extraordinary place to work.

Responsibilities
  • Build trusted relationships across assigned business areas, acting as a go‑to advisor on people matters.
  • Translate Heathrow’s people priorities into practical actions that support delivery today and the future airport.
  • Provide sound judgement to manage people risk, escalating complex or high‑impact issues where appropriate.
  • Deliver core people processes, including performance and talent cycles, reward reviews, and performance and absence management.
  • Use people data and insight to identify trends, risks and opportunities across client areas.
  • Partner with unions, Centres of Excellence and senior stakeholders to deliver a joined‑up, high‑quality people experience.
Qualifications
  • CIPD qualified (or equivalent experience) with strong HR generalist background in a large, complex organisation.
  • Proven experience across employee relations, reward, talent and performance, with solid knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Resilient and confident working through ambiguity, with the credibility to challenge constructively.
  • Strong analytical capability, comfortable using people data and insight to identify trends and inform decisions.
  • Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills, including influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organised with strong project management skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
  • Experience in a unionised, operational or safety‑critical environment.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organisation.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience); Level 7 or working towards is a plus.
