Senior Engineer – Barclays UK Develop, implement, and maintain solutions that safeguard the bank’s systems and sensitive information while supporting critical Run the Bank activities across the Business Works and Apigee Edge platforms.
In this AVP-level role within the API Platform Team, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting technical services that enable key customer journeys and business operations, and will participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota one week each month.
Key Responsibilities Provision of subject matter expertise on security systems and engineering patterns.
Development and implementation of protocols, algorithms, and software applications to protect sensitive data and systems.
Management and protection of secrets, ensuring secure generation, storage, and use.
Execution of audits to monitor, identify, and assess vulnerabilities in the bank’s infrastructure/software, and support response to potential security breaches.
Identification of advancements to support innovation and adoption of new cryptographic technologies and techniques.
Collaboration across the bank, including developers and security teams, to ensure cryptographic solutions align with business objectives, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
Development, implementation, and maintenance of Identity and Access Management solutions and systems.
Required Qualifications TIBCO Business Works Expertise (BW 5/6).
Strong hands‑on experience designing, building, and supporting integrations using TIBCO Business Works or an alternative product such as Mulesoft.
Cloud provide advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies and procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls related to work performed.
