As the largest global shared micromobility business, Lime is on a mission to build a future where transportation is shared, affordable and carbon-free. A Time Magazine 100 Most Influential Company, Lime has powered more than one billion rides in close to 30 countries across five continents, spurring a new generation of clean alternatives to car ownership.

We are looking for a German or Italian speaking Bid manager and writer to join our Proposals team. In this role, you will manage and write bids for markets across EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) from start to finish, working cross-functionally with Government Affairs, Operations, and other business units as needed. You should have experience with public procurement and tender processes. You need to be a strategic thinker who understands the priorities of local municipalities and have the ability to communicate how Lime can contribute to city success.

As part of Lime’s Proposals team, you will report into the Senior Manager, EMEA Proposals. This is primarily an internal-facing role focused on analyzing procurement documents, creating and implementing project plans and processes, drafting bid applications, aligning cross-functional teams in support of our proposal needs and timeline, and delivering final products that are fully researched, vetted, and compliant with the standards of the world’s largest micro-mobility company.

The ideal candidate brings expert project and stakeholder management skills, excels at building transparent, cross-functional alignment, and communicates clearly across audiences. You’re process-driven, highly organized, and bring a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach to complex challenges. You will need to adapt to different communication styles and be able to work calmly and efficiently in a high-pressure environment to produce quality, error-free work.

This is a remote position with a requirement for candidates to reside in London, Paris or Berlin to maintain effective collaboration across teams. This position requires occasional travel to support business operations, which is considered an essential function of the role. Lime will provide reasonable accommodations as needed.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead end-to-end bid management, including kickoff, timeline creation, resource alignment, application development, and submission.
  • Write clear, compelling, and creative content for RFPs, RFIs, administrative permits, and other public procurement processes, often on tight deadlines. Own the review and revision cycle.
  • Drive the development of key themes, narrative, and messaging to ensure that proposals are competitive and resonate with local audiences, in collaboration with our graphic designer and content manager.
  • Analyze proposal document packages from cities, identifying key priorities, criteria, eligibility, and scoring.
  • Gather insights and build competitive strategies through productive partnerships with our local operations and policy teams as well as a wide range of other cross-functional partners, spread across several countries and time zones.
  • Build on our established best practices, toolkits, and content library in collaboration with the other proposal team members.
  • Travel to our most important markets on an as-needed basis to strategize and plan for upcoming projects with pre-tender workshops, consultants, and brainstorms with local teams.

About You:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably with a focus on content writing and project management.
  • Experience with reading and analyzing regulations, bid documents, and/or city planning documents within the German or Italian market.
  • Excellent German or Italian writing skills, with a love for the written word. You have a knack for resonating with a target audience, whether it’s executive leadership, elected officials, community organizations, or local government staff.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with a process-oriented mindset.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator with confident interpersonal and influencing skills; comfortable working across time zones and with sound judgment on when to escalate issues.
  • Calm under pressure, with a track record of adapting to shifting priorities while producing error-free deliverables.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, with an advanced degree preferred.
  • Public or private sector experience in procurement is a plus.
  • Fluent English skills and native German or Italian language writing skills.
