We are currently looking for a customer focused Spa Receptionist to join our friendly front of house team at Herb House Spa.

Our spa is located within the grounds of Lime Wood - a boutique country house set in the heart of the New Forest National Park, Lyndhurst, Hampshire.

The position would be a fixed term contract for 6-12months and minimum 16hrs a week to include weekend shifts.

At Herb House, we are dedicated to natural well-being, inspired by our forest surroundings.

Our Spa is designed over three levels, incorporating a massive Sauna, indoor Hydro Pool, Mud House, a steaming outdoor Hot Pool, eight spacious single treatment rooms and two magnificent double treatment rooms.

We also have a state-of-the-art rooftop gym with the very latest technogym equipment, a 16-metre ozone treated indoor lap pool with glass doors overlooking the garden.

We also have a hands and Feet room for manicure and pedis as well as a workout studio offering an extensive range of fitness classes to our guests and spa members.

About the role

This is a vital role as you will be the first and last face our spa guests and members see. You will ensure they have an unforgettable experience.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to

  • Working collaboratively as part of a team, to ensure a warm welcome and effective service to all spa guests.
  • Using reservation systems to efficiently book guest treatments. Amending reservations as/when required.
  • Respond to guest queries, in person, via phone and email.
  • Proactive and adaptable approach to any situations that may occur. Always ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Communication is key, maintaining effective channels of communication with all departments.
  • Handle guest complaints to the best of your ability, utilising our management team as/when required.
  • Work collaboratively providing regular updates and relevant information to both guests and colleagues. This can include special requests and changes to reservations.

About you

Previous experience as a Receptionist is beneficial.

Desirably in a spa or hotel.

Knowledge of Spa treatments/ products advantageous.

You must have a proactive and reliable attitude towards work and able to deal with situations as and when they arise, ensuring guests are provided with both a warm welcome and positive experience.
