We are currently looking for a knowledgeable and passionate Sommelier to join our Wine Team at our award‑winning hotel, Lime Wood. At Lime Wood, we offer an extensive wine list to our guests, from wines across the world, local British produce to our very own offering. We have a large traditional vaulted ceiling wine cellar, a real treat for any passionate Sommelier. We are proud of our extensive wine list that has been many years in the making which has previously been awarded the Tattinger Wine List of the Year and the most Innovative and exciting wine List at Conde Nast Johansens Awards.

About the role Responsibilities:
- Ensure our wine service is slick and knowledgeable, by being present on the restaurant floor.
- Keep and up to date knowledge of our wine list.
- Have the ability to easily recommend and pair wines, along with the confidence to up sale.
- Assist with maintaining the cellar, stock management and supplier relationships.
- Collaboratively work with our Food & Beverage team in delivering a well‑rounded food & beverage service to our guests.
- Have a genuine passion towards wines.
- Seek to upskill and enrol in recognised qualifications.
- Ensure food handling & safety measures are met and compliant.
Previous experience within a similar role is essential. You must have a proactive, motivated attitude and bring with you some product knowledge to pass onto other members of the team. Completion of recognised study in wine and spirits is advantageous. In turn we will provide you with any further qualifications that might be required for your own personal development.
