We are currently looking for a passionate and customer focused Host to join our team at our award-winning hotel, Lime Wood. Lime Wood is a 33-bedroom boutique country house set in the heart of the New Forest National Park. It is laid-back 5* luxury at its best, with Chefs Angela Hartnett and Luke Holder at the helm of the kitchen and a wellness spa within the grounds.
The front desk is essentially the hub of the hotel, being the first and last face our restaurant and hotel guests see. First impressions are everything and we want our guests to have the best first impression possible.

About the role:
As a Host, you will be encouraged to provide a fun dining, not fine dining experience to our guests. You will provide the link between all food and beverage departments, ensuring our guests are greeted and made to always feel welcome.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide a warm greeting to all guests.
- Connecting all food & beverage services with regards to guests whereabouts.
- Ensuring adequate seating is available to guests, guiding them to reserved areas or to their restaurant table.
- Offer to take and store away guests’ coats and belongings, always ensuring that all items are stored securely.
- Proactive and adaptable to any situations that may occur.
- Always ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Gain an understanding of all services Lime Wood can provide, including private dining options and our kitchen table experience.
- Work collaboratively with all staff, stepping in to support with any tasks as/when required.
About you:
No experience is required. Any previous exposure to a guest focused/service role is advantageous. We are seeking a candidate who will enjoy interacting with a variety of people every day. Being able to work on your feet throughout your shift is required. Full training will be provided.
