A well-established British international school in Cairo is currently seeking an outstanding Business and/or Economics Teacher to join its Secondary team from September 2026. The school has a strong reputation locally, an established international community, and a modern campus environment supporting students from Early Years through to Sixth Form. Staff benefit from a collaborative and supportive culture, with a strong emphasis on professional growth, student wellbeing and academic excellence.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable teacher with the ability to inspire students across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. The successful candidate will join a forward-thinking secondary team and contribute to the continued growth of Business and Economics within the school’s expanding sixth form provision.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A recognised teaching qualification meeting home-country requirements (PGCE, B.Ed, GDE etc.)
  • A minimum of 3 years post-qualification teaching experience
  • Experience teaching Business and/or Economics within the British curriculum
  • Strong knowledge of GCSE/IGCSE and A Level curricula
  • A proven track record of strong academic outcomes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and families
  • A collaborative and solutions-focused approach to school life

Desirable:

  • International school experience
  • Experience teaching highly aspirational students
  • Experience contributing to curriculum development or departmental leadership
  • Ability to contribute to enrichment and extracurricular activities

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across KS3 - KS5
  • Monitor student progress and provide high-quality feedback
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
  • Act as a secondary form tutor
  • Support the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities
  • Work collaboratively within a high-performing secondary team

Salary & Benefits Package:
