Core Responsibilities
- Product Innovation & Development
Oversee product development projects from initial concept through to commercial launch, liaising with manufacturing partners throughout sampling and production stages. Research new ingredients, market trends, and innovations within supplements and functional beverage categories. Assess scientific literature to support evidence-led formulation decisions. Attend manufacturing facilities during key production runs and first-time launches.
- Regulatory & Compliance
Assist with ensuring product compliance across international territories including the UK, Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Australia. Prepare and review product packaging copy to ensure labelling aligns with relevant regulations. Assess product claims, promotional materials, and marketing content to ensure compliance standards are maintained. Work alongside the marketing team to ensure communications remain within regulatory guidelines. Maintain accurate and compliant product information across e-commerce platforms. Manage technical documentation, nutritionals, and artwork records.
- Quality & Technical Support
Support customer service with technical product-related queries when required. Coordinate external laboratory testing, including microbiological analysis, heavy metal screening, and nutritional verification. Maintain supplier quality documentation and technical records. Review production Certificates of Analysis to verify ingredient integrity and finished product quality. Inspect retained production samples and escalate any quality concerns identified.
Skills & Experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience within product development or technical functions, ideally in supplements, nutrition, or beverage categories. Experience working with external manufacturing partners. Good understanding of technical, regulatory, and compliance requirements. Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
