This position is central to ensuring products move efficiently from warehouse to retailer, meeting all delivery expectations and compliance standards. The role plays a key part in translating commercial success into operational execution—ensuring that once products are listed, everything behind the scenes runs seamlessly. It requires a practical, detail-oriented approach combined with the ability to think strategically and drive improvements across the supply chain.

Core Responsibilities

  • Retail Standards & Delivery Performance: Maintain strong delivery performance by meeting agreed service levels and ensuring all retailer-specific requirements are consistently followed, including routing, labelling, booking processes, and advance shipment notifications.
  • Third-Party Logistics Oversight: Oversee relationships with external warehouse and logistics partners in both the UK and US. Monitor performance, resolve issues, and lead regular reviews to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Reporting & Operational Insights: Track key performance indicators such as delivery timelines, service levels, and penalties. Develop clear reporting tools and provide insights that support better decision-making across teams.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner closely with commercial, inventory, and marketing functions to support product launches, promotions, and forecasting. Ensure logistics planning aligns with wider business objectives.
  • Onboarding & Systems Setup: Manage the operational setup for new retail partners, product lines, and distribution routes. This includes coordinating system integrations such as EDI and ensuring all processes are ready for smooth execution.
  • Hands-On Operational Support: Stay close to day-to-day operations when needed, assisting with order flow, tracking shipments, and resolving queries. Handle issues such as delays, shortages, or damaged goods efficiently.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and improve overall supply chain performance by working collaboratively with both internal teams and external partners.
