Key Responsibilities
- Quality and Compliance
- Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company's BRC certification.
- Develop and manage robust HACCP systems across all manufacturing sites and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Own quality control processes, ensuring product safety, quality, and consistency throughout manufacturing and supply chain operations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of manufacturing facilities to assure adherence to company and BRC standards.
- Ensure suppliers and co-manufacturers adhere strictly to quality standards and BRC requirements.
- Perform risk assessments and supplier audits, addressing any non-conformances through effective corrective action plans.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers to continually enhance product quality based on consumer feedback, QC data, and internal metrics.
- Work cross-functionally with R&D, commercial, and operational teams to ensure technical feasibility, quality compliance, and successful product launches.
- Oversee product technical specifications, artwork, and labelling to ensure legal compliance and accuracy.
- Lead technical sign-off for new product introductions, ensuring adherence to critical paths and timelines.
- Act as crisis coordinator, managing incident responses swiftly and effectively to minimize business impact.
- Oversee customer and consumer complaints, performing root cause analyses and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimize quality processes and operational efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams to enhance overall quality and technical awareness.
- Keep abreast of changing regulatory requirements and ensure all operations are informed and compliant.
Required Experience
- Previous experience in a Technical or Quality Management role within food manufacturing, with proven expertise in maintaining BRC certification.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety standards, and quality management systems.
- Previous experience in supplier management, auditing, and complaint resolution.
- Experience with dairy, beverages, or plant-based products beneficial but not essential.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of effectively collaborating at all organizational levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
