As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist within our Quality team, you will provide expert regulatory support across food and feed supplement activities in the EU, UK, and international markets. The role involves reviewing regulatory requirements, delivering training, troubleshooting compliance issues, and acting as a key liaison with authorities, consultants, and professional bodies. You will also play an active role in company-wide compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with food and feed safety, quality, and defence requirements, including UK, EU, and GFSI (BRC) standards, as well as Organic, Halal, FAMI-QS, and Kosher certifications.
- Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory requirements, assess business impact, and update senior management on compliance needs.
- Support the development and execution of regulatory strategies for existing and new ingredients/products across UK and EU markets, covering areas such as allergens, REACH, novel foods, food contact materials, labelling, feed regulations, residues, contaminants, and botanical ingredients.
- Conduct detailed regulatory reviews of product compliance, including novel food status, authorisations, claims, and labelling.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities on applications, approvals, licences, and authorisations.
- Support the creation and maintenance of product specifications, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Deliver regulatory training to Quality and Technical teams.
- Provide regulatory input on new raw material specifications and assess regulatory acceptance and impact.
- Support Commercial and Marketing teams by verifying regulatory compliance.
- Assist with crisis and incident management as part of the wider management team.
About You
- A strong team player with excellent communication skills.

- Confident, assertive, and comfortable working independently or within a small team.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical or regulatory role within food, feed, fine chemicals, pharmaceutical ingredients, or chemical distribution.
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
- Able to identify issues and deliver structured, practical solutions.
- Fluent in business-level English.
