Role Overview
This business is looking for a Food Buyer to join the team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in curating a dynamic selection of products that reflect their commitment to quality and sustainability. You’ll work closely with suppliers and internal teams to enhance the product offerings, delivering an outstanding experience for the customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Selection: Choose a range of grocery products for both in-store and online that aligns with the brand and customer needs.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and evaluating product performance.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and help ensure timely product replenishment, analysing sales data and demand forecasts to prevent stockouts.
- Promotions: Assist in planning and executing grocery promotions, events, and sampling.
- Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date on market trends and competitor activity to inform product selection and pricing.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various teams, including store operations and marketing, to meet sales targets and maintain smooth operations.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of buying experience, ideally in food
- Commercially minded with excellent organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team player.
