Our client is an innovative food brand who are currently looking for a Technical Director to lead their talented technical team. You will report into the MD and lead an established team of high performing Technical Managers.

Technical Director responsibilities:

  • Safeguarding the brand by ensuring product safety, quality, legality, and authenticity are upheld throughout the range and supply chain.
  • Drive improvements in product quality and safety, reduce customer complaints, and ensure artwork designs comply with regulations.
  • Leading the Technical team, implementing the new structure while coaching and developing direct reports to build a strong succession plan.
  • Oversee the prompt and effective management of food safety and quality incidents, ensuring swift and thorough investigations that provide senior leadership team with clear guidance on appropriate actions to protect both consumers and the brand.
  • Continuously review and enhance the food safety & quality management system to improve food safety standards and culture across the supply chain and the business.
  • Re-evaluate the Technical strategy in response to team dynamics, processes, industry trends, legislative changes, and supply chain risks, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.
  • Actively contribute to the management team, keeping the business informed of emerging issues and ensuring that decisions prioritize product quality and consumer safety.
