Buying Assistant
Location – North London (on-site)
Salary – £30 to 45k
In this role you will play an essential part in supporting the buying department by managing administrative tasks, analyzing data, and strengthening supplier relationships. This position presents a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience with an established builders retailer, while making a meaningful impact on the growth of a fast-paced, dynamic department.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and update product data in our systems.
- Handle administrative tasks for purchasing and invoice processing.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to inform decisions.
- Collaborate across departments for smooth product launches, inventory management, and merchandising.
- Analyze data on sales performance, stock levels, and purchasing decisions.
- Support pricing analysis and implement adjustments as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Work with buyers and branch managers to analyze sales and identify opportunities before supplier meetings.
