Our client is a market leader within the drinks space that is currently looking for a national OOH controller to manage a team of 7 KAMs looking after some of the most important accounts within the business. It is a new role that is critical within the team with a focus on accelerating business across out of home, horeca and travel.
Your Responsibilities:
- Shape and direct the commercial strategy for national out-of-home accounts, ensuring it aligns with the wider objectives of the business and its out-of-home division. This includes playing a key role in annual and long-term planning.
- Take responsibility for delivering annual targets across volume, revenue and profitability.
- Provide motivating, transparent leadership to a team of seven direct reports.
- Actively coach and develop team members, ensuring each has a clear growth plan and receives the right level of commercial guidance and performance support.
- Support account managers with high-value negotiations and act as the escalation point when required.
- Maintain close alignment with the team on all pipeline opportunities, contributing to proposals and approving plans when needed.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across the organisation.
- Oversee and grow existing customer partnerships—particularly the largest national accounts while helping to drive new business across wholesale, distribution, and foodservice channels.
- Monitor customer performance and wider market dynamics, adjusting plans where needed to stay competitive.
- Lead the sales planning and operations process, ensuring accurate forecasting, pricing execution, promotional planning, and effective management of accruals and cash flow.
About You:
- Experience managing key accounts, including working with large customers on complex trading terms and joint plans, with a proven record of driving growth.
- Strong commercial judgement and solid understanding of relevant out-of-home, convenience, or foodservice-style channels.
- Experience leading and developing direct reports.
- A proactive, growth-oriented mindset with the confidence and autonomy to shape and accelerate commercial opportunities.
- Enthusiasm for structured selling, combined with the ability to present, negotiate and influence effectively at all organisational levels.
- A methodical approach to building and executing strategy.
- Demonstrated leadership capability and excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with category dynamics within fast-moving consumer products.
- Financial awareness, including P&L insights and effective use of performance metrics relevant to the out-of-home environment.
- Ability to establish strong networks and relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly developed planning, organisational, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
