This is a part-time role of 20 hours per week on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Main duties of the job
The Medical Receptionist is vital to the daily operation of Lime Grove Medical Centre, serving as the first point of contact for patients and linking patients with clinical staff. Key duties include:
Greeting and assisting patients in person and by phone with professionalism and efficiency
Supporting doctors, staff, patients, and visitors courteously at all times
Promptly answering calls, managing queries, or directing them appropriately
Maintaining strict confidentiality of patient, staff, and practice information
Accurately scheduling and managing patient appointments using the clinical system
Liaising discreetly and professionally with clinical and non-clinical teams
Following practice policies in all administrative and patient interactions
Handling general queries and complaints in line with the complaints procedure
Signposting patients to the right services or healthcare professionals
Communicating medical results to patients under clinical supervision
Acting as a chaperone during clinical exams after training
This role requires flexibility, calmness under pressure, and a strong commitment to excellent patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Job responsibilities
The Medical Receptionist is responsible for greeting and attending to patients both in person and over the telephone with professionalism and courtesy.
Scheduling appointments between doctors and patients while maintaining strict confidentiality of all patient, staff, and practice information
Managing general queries and complaints in accordance with the Practices complaints procedure

- Working knowledge of medical terminology (highly advantageous but not essential)
- Previous experience working in a GP practice is desirable but not essential; comprehensive training will be provided
