THE JOB
The Quality Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the quality function within the Operations department. This role is responsible for assisting in the implementation and maintenance of quality control processes, inspecting products and materials, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of quality control processes and procedures.
- Conduct inspections of products, materials, and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Support the QA Engineer in developing and implementing quality improvements.
- Analyse data and identify trends to inform quality decisions.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of internal audits and quality checks.
- Develop and maintain records of quality inspections and tests.
- Support the training of production staff on quality procedures and standards.

MAIN REQUIREMENTS
- A good understanding of quality principles, systems, and tools.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Experience in a quality-related role or a manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and other quality improvement tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
