Limbic's vision is to ensure the highest quality therapy is accessible to everyone, everywhere. The way we do that is by deploying AI responsibly, using it to augment clinical care and reduce barriers to accessing therapy at scale. Limbic is already used extensively in Talking Therapies in the UK, and now expanding operations into the US market. Every day, thousands of patients already interact with Limbic, making therapy more accessible. Limbic goes beyond replacing existing processes with AI and helps people recover from their mental health challenges who otherwise would not have.
We're seeking a Senior Full-stack Engineer who's motivated by seeing their work change outcomes for real people. You'll ship features end-to-end that patients and clinicians depend on every day — and you'll be expected to care about why you're building something, not just how. If you've ever pushed back on a ticket because you didn't think it served users, or shipped something and then chased down the data to see if it actually worked, this is your kind of team.
What you'll do:
- Design, build, and ship full-stack features end-to-end, including:
- Implementing TypeScript/Node.js backend services compliant with data residency and regulatory standards
- Building React user interfaces for both patient-facing and clinician-facing products
- Modeling and handling application data (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) using regulatory compliance best practices
- Integrating features with ML/AI services and safety guardrails
- Shape what gets built, not just how — contribute to product decisions, challenge requirements when they don't serve users, and measure the impact of what you ship
- Treat security, data residency, and compliance as first-class concerns given our patient/clinical data context
- Collaborate and demonstrate ownership in a cross-functional team to integrate features smoothly and swiftly into a product
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards
- Triage incoming alerts for collaborative error monitoring
- Participate in periodic 'SideQuest' hackathon days
We encourage women and individuals from diverse backgrounds to apply and join our team. We believe in creating an inclusive and supportive work environment where everyone can contribute their best.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience
- This position requires availability during standard business hours for our teams across Europe (UTC to UTC+3)
- Ability to work from London (Spitalfields) office 1-day per week is preferred
- Limbic cannot provide visa sponsorship
- A track record of shipping features with measurable user impact — you can tell us what you built, why it mattered, and how you knew it worked
- Strong TypeScript and Node.js ability (GraphQL and tRPC familiarity preferred)
- Solid React experience building production web applications
- Experience with databases — should be comfortable with PostgreSQL as well as document databases and KV stores
- Experience using AWS services in production and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
- Proficiency with Git
- Experience with queue-based systems (BullMQ + Redis) is a bonus
- Experience working in a regulated or security-sensitive environment (healthcare, fintech, etc.) is a bonus
- Experience with React Native is a bonus
Benefits:
- An amazing office in central London (flexibility regarding working from the office and wfh)
- 25 days PTO
- Pension scheme
- Enhanced parental leave packages (UK)
- Equity share options
- Support with purchasing work-related books and materials
We take employee wellbeing seriously at Limbic and in addition to the above we offer:
- Quarterly life days (Enjoy 4 paid days off per year to use whenever you choose - one each quarter - to relax, recharge, or take care of personal matters)
- Access to mental health support
