We’re looking for an Assistant Producer to help run and grow a fast-paced reaction YouTube channel. This role is heavily focused on content sourcing, video preparation, and overall channel packaging. You’ll be responsible for finding viral and highly engaging clips from across the internet, building strong recording lineups, assisting with thumbnails/titles and helping shape videos for maximum audience retention and performance.
The ideal candidate is deeply familiar with internet culture, understands what makes YouTube content entertaining, and has strong instincts for trends, pacing, and click-worthy packaging. You should be highly organised, proactive, and able to consistently surface fresh content before it becomes oversaturated. You’ll work closely with talent, editors, and the wider production team to help keep the channel running smoothly and ensure videos and packages are entertaining, well-prepared, and optimised for performance.
Responsibilities:- Source viral, entertaining, and highly engaging clips for reaction videos across TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter/X, Twitch, and other platforms.
- Research daily internet trends, creator drama, memes, gaming moments, and viral topics relevant to the channel audience.
- Curate and organize clips into strong episode concepts and recording lineups.
- Pre-screen clips for pacing, entertainment value, and audience retention potential.
- Identify clips with strong thumbnail/title opportunities and help package videos for maximum click-through rate.
- Prepare recording sessions by organising assets, timestamps, references, and talking points for talent.
- Help shape video structure, flow, and segment order to improve watch time.
- Work closely with editors to communicate creative direction, comedic beats, and pacing.
- Assist with thumbnail ideation, title brainstorming, and overall video packaging.
- Monitor channel performance and adapt clip sourcing based on analytics and audience response.
- Stay ahead of online trends and surface content before it becomes oversaturated.
- Ensure sourced content avoids major copyright/re-upload risks where possible.
