The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee on-site data centre builds for a portfolio of prestigious clients. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, technical awareness, and a proactive approach to site management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day direction of projects (or specific work packages), ensuring client specifications and requirements are fully met.
  • Monitor project progress and control costs, liaising closely with senior DCUK management.
  • Coordinate and supervise electrical and mechanical installation teams.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, designers, and other stakeholders.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, ensuring full compliance with site health & safety standards, including inductions and toolbox talks.
  • Review and prepare site reports, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Maintain strict quality control procedures throughout project delivery.
  • Proactively identify risks, prevent issues, and resolve challenges efficiently.
  • Ensure all project documentation and reporting is accurate and up to date.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing electrical and mechanical trades on construction or data centre projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction site operations and compliance requirements.
  • NEBOSH Level 4 (or equivalent).
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proactive, solution-focused mindset with strong organisational ability.

Location & Travel

The ideal candidate will be based around Milton Keynes or Northampton, supporting current projects. However, as a national business, travel across the UK - including occasional overnight stays - will be required.
