Location: This is a hybrid role, with a mix between working approximately 1-2 days a week (or more if you prefer) in our beautiful central London office (Goodge Street) and working from home.

Your place at the Lily’s Kitchen Table: Working as part of the overall Marketing and Studio team, this role is the custodian of the Lily’s Kitchen brand through its digital creative design presence, with a unique blend of creative vision and business sense. Collaborating with our Direct To Consumer team (DTC) to deliver all online design, you will also work closely alongside our Head of Creative (the guardian of overall brand design), as well as managing a team of digital designers. Whilst working alongside a team of in house and freelance designers, artworkers and copywriters, you will have a passion for design and be excited about the pace and creativity of the digital landscape. Challenged to brainstorm fresh ideas, manage deliverables, and execute beautiful on brand digital activity to delight and captivate the Lily’s customer. Using an integrated approach, you and your team will be creating, inspiring and engaging digital marketing across multiple UK and International retailer touchpoints as well as content for our social media channels. Your contribution will be critical to our growth plans and your work will reach a global audience. You will also ensure consistency across all online channels and provide guidance and personal development to our digital designers and enable them to execute their work giving them style guides, assets and tools.
How will I make a difference? You will:
- Be a digital brand guardian leading on the creative digital design at Lily’s Kitchen, across website, paid digital marketing, email, organic social content and online retailer marketing.
- Maintain consistent, on brand digital output by providing style guides, assets and tools for digital designers to execute digital campaigns.
- Work closely with the Head of eCommerce to continually evolve our brand and campaign guidelines, so that they meet the brand and performance needs of our paid marketing channels, emails and DTC website.
- Inspire your Design Team (x3 Digital Designers) to continue to reach for excellence and provide feedback during their creative process to help them optimise their work on digital campaigns.
- Build a brilliant relationship with Head of Creative to ensure together you create powerful work.
- Create and update guidelines to ensure all output is brand appropriate, signing off digital concepts alongside the Head of Creative plus the relevant brand team owner and on bigger campaigns and product launches with the Marketing Director.
- Shape and uphold brand standards and creativity with ideas and fresh thinking that maintains our leadership position in the industry.
- Work with the Studio Manager to supervise the department's daily workflow, assign project workload, and monitor deadlines and budgets, attending weekly brief approvals meetings and resource meetings.
- Oversee daily digital work of the team monitoring the standard of output and advising changes as necessary prior to sign off with brief owner.
- Be accountable for the accuracy of our quarterly reforecasting submissions and monthly reporting of studio performance, carried out by Studio Manager.
- Manage and develop direct reports: 3 x Digital Designers.
- Manage and work with a range of mediums including imagery, film, digital, illustration, gifs, animation, apps, across multiple markets and languages.
- Collaborate and communicate with the Marketing, NPD, E-Commerce and Sales teams to ensure ways of working are efficient and processes are meeting business needs.
- Lead the execution of customer marketing digital design across multiple channels, markets and touchpoints in the customer journey.
- Forge strong relationships with the UK and International marketing teams to deliver their briefs.
- Work closely with our PR & social team to understand the briefs for the social content calendars and deliver disruptive creative for multiple social channels including Facebook, Instagram, Linked In and online media outlets.
- Work closely with the Digital Strategy Manager to help shape requirements and play your part in successful project delivery.
- Work closely with our copywriter to develop snappy witty channel relevant executions.
- Be able to work confidently and independent using brand guidelines combined with your own creativity to deliver on-brand inspiring work.
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders and provide guidance on raw content requirements i.e. shoots, video.
- Understand social design trends and interpret them for our audience and customers.
- Constantly evolve campaigns and digital design assets by actioning feedback to increase customer engagement rate and brand love.
- Support our sustainability and B Corp values by ensuring we tread lightly on the planet when creating digital content.
- Be an ambassador for our social and environmental credentials – seeking opportunities to drive our ‘proper goodness’ content to consumers about our hard work in this area and working with like-minded partners/suppliers.
- Ensure any content is aligned with our Ethical Marketing policy.
What will I need to be successful?
- A minimum of 7 years’ agency / inhouse experience in a relevant role, including the design for digital channels.
- High proficiency in Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign skills and a bonus if you have animation skills.
- Have an in-depth knowledge of brand development and multichannel marketing models.
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates conceptual thinking, visual design, layout, colour and type skills and experience working across a variety of digital projects.
- Solid knowledge of digital formats across various screen sizes and devices, as well as a working knowledge of setting up files for print and web use.
- You are comfortable working autonomously and in collaboration with others to discover the right solutions.
- Able to work reactively and at speed in a quick turnaround, fast paced environment, adapting to changing priorities, maintaining a great eye for detail.
- Excellent time management and you know how to manage multiple priorities, breaking large projects into manageable pieces.
- A true passion for digital design, communications design, and visual identity.
- Balance of creative and commercial thinking.
- Brilliant interpersonal and communication and complex stakeholder management skills working in a matrix environment.
