Zero contracted hours.### Role: Ancillary StaffJob Purpose (Domestic): To ensure a clean and hygienic environment in all areas of the Home. In so doing recognize the residents’ rights to privacy and dignity. Understand and abide by infection control policy.Participating in setting and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the home while taking care of fixtures and fittingsEnsuring ALERT SIGNS are in place, when necessary, e.g., wet floors### Using resources economically and effectivelyBeware of correct cleaning solutions and equipment for correct job e.g., carpet shampoo for the correct carpet shampooed and the correct dose of solutionsBe aware of the responsibility to report any accidents, untoward incidents, hazards, and unsafe equipmentBe aware of, understand and work within agreed policies where they relate to: Fire precautions and procedures; Environmental Health rules and regulations; Health and Safety at work; Care of equipment; Care of resident’s belongings; COSHH regulations; Infection control### Ensure cleaning schedules are completedTo undertake any other duties e.g., kitchen/laundry at times of need### Abide by and understand policies and proceduresAttend mandatory and in house training as required and complete mandatory e-learning### Help promote the home at all times### Attend meetings as requiredJob Purpose (Kitchen): To support the Chef/Assistant Chef in meeting the dietary needs of the residents.To assist with the preparation and serving of meals and beverages as required### To prepare the dining room for the serving of mealsTo clear tables and ensure all crockery and cutlery are washed and put away### To work in accordance with the home’s policiesTo carry out kitchen duties ensuring a high standard of hygiene at all times### To use resources effectivelyReport any issues or matters raised by service users concerning catering to the Chef or Home Manager### Abide and understand policies and procedures### Attend mandatory and in house training as required### Understand COSHH issues### Maintain cleanliness and records as requiredJob Purpose (Laundry): To provide a laundry service that ensures service users’ personal items are well cared for and that maintains an adequate supply of all other items.To launder all items of service users’ personal clothing in accordance with the garment washing instructions### To launder all items of bed linenTo launder infected or soiled items in accordance with the home’s policyTo identify any items in need of repair and undertake as appropriate### To ensure the laundry area is kept clean and tidyTo monitor the use of washing materials and ensure adequate stock is maintained### To iron clothing and linenTo report any problems with the washing machines/dryers to the person in charge at the timeApply now Pay£12.71 per hourHoursZero-hoursLocationTolleshunt Major, CM9Posted27 October 2026Closing dateOpen until 20 February 2027Abbey Health CareYou are applying directly to Abbey Health Care.
